Welcome to the school year! My name is Christa Hoot and I have the extreme pleasure of teaching our school's young learners. It is my hope that all students in Room K2 develop a love for school and learning. Students will be exposed to strong academics, in a safe and engaging environment. Kindness and laughter will fill our classroom community.
Room K2 has been designated as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) classroom. This past summer our classroom received a facelift. Students will now learn in a freshly painted room with flexible seating and desks with whiteboard tops.
A little about me...
In addition to my bachelor's degree and teaching credential, I received my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have my GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) certification.
A few of my favorite things include: hiking with my 2 Labrador retrievers, going to Disneyland, Pilates, traveling, listening to music with my husband Tom and spending time outdoors with our two daughters!
I am so excited for this school year and am honored to be your child's teacher. Go Cubberley Cougars!
