Greetings Cubberley families and students. My name is Amy Degollado and I will be teaching many of Cubberley's fantastic 3rd and 4th grade students this year. This is my sixth year teaching at our wonderful school and I am proud to be working alongside a supportive, loving, and strong Cubberley staff and family community. In addition to teaching, I have worked in both the Poway and San Diego Unified School Districts as a substitute teacher in all elementary grades. I have also worked with English Learner's in grades TK-5 at all proficiency levels providing support and instruction at Miramar Ranch Elementary School. I graduated from SDSU and earned my Multiple Subject Credential and Masters of Education from National University.
I am a native of San Diego and live in Scripps Ranch. I love spending time with my family, walking my rescue dog Buster, eating Mexican food, cheering on the Padres, and going on bike rides. I also love art and architecture, so I take any opportunity I have to visit and enjoy the beauty that our local neighborhoods and museums have to offer!
My commitment to helping all of my students see themselves as life-long learners with outstanding potential is genuine and one that I take very seriously. I look forward to a wonderful school year with all of you!
